About Deepwoken:
Deepwoken is an incredibly cool, atmospheric and scary game. Its 2D which worried me a bit at first but after playing games like Barotrauma i learned that yeah 2D games can be really scary and fun. One of the things that got me really excited about this game was its marketing. I heard it would be really similar to Barotrauma, a game i really enjoy, so because of that i was excited for this. After i bought it i realised its not really correct. You see in Barotrauma you would go from one base to another in your submarine while dealing with only a few enemies along the way. Your main priority was to keep the submarine running. When you throw in some enemies into the mix it would become pure chaos and fun trying to keep the submarine alive and trying to keep the enemy away. It would become even more horrifying if the enemies did major damage and you began to sink or if they made a hole in your sub and got inside. That single fight would generally decide if you would survive or not. Seeing an enemy was scary because it didn’t happen often and when it did they were a real threat to you. Even when you weren’t fighting enemies the environment itself was dangerous enough on its own. The submarines systems would eventually start to break and you had to keep fixing it. Even if you survive a fight you could still die because someone forgot to take care of the reactor or fix the electrical components inside the sub.
