About Gods Of Glory:
I just cleared the second arena, and so far the game has been very enjoyable. Definitely drew some inspiration from Swords and Sandals, but the game has it’s own uniqueness as well. There is a fine balance between economy and strength, if you spend irresponsibly the upkeep costs will bite you in the ass, but if you spend stingily the enemy gladiators will also bite you in the ass (I learned this the hard way). I’ve encountered two minor bugs so far, but considering the game is in early access it won’t affect my review. Story time: I stuck with my first gladiator and kept training him, even purchasing him the best equipment I could afford, he was like a son to me. Our bond grew stronger as we overcame all obstacles that this unforgiving world threw at us. In the end, my gladiator son became famous and caught the eye of a rich Sultan who wanted to purchase him off of me for lots of money, but I declined. My gladiator son looked at me with glistening eyes, as if I was the father he always wanted, and together we yelled a battle cry as the Sultan left, defeated. We would continue to live our days happily, I even adopted more gladiators who would complete missions and earn us much needed moneys. Life was good.. until we decided to challenge the last stage of the second Arena.. a m-monster killed my son.. and from that day onward my only purpose in life was to avenge my son. I made a visit to the market and adopted the strongest lil’ old man that I could find, and this old man trained day and night until I was satisfied with his strength, I would not let another one of my children die.
