I think it all comes down to how long an attack takes to come out before you can move and swing again. In another adventure game with dungeons for the Super Nintendo that shall not be named, you can attack REALLY quickly. I think you could maybe get out 2 to 3 attacks in the time it takes to get out 1 in this game. It feels a lot more sluggish because of that. The movement speed feels kinda slow too. This might be a personal preference thing, but I wish the little chicken was like, 10-20% faster. All of that being said, I’m a big fan of the creation tools. It’s a very good foundation for later updates. For a game like this, I feel like the important part is the variety of tools that a player can find in a dungeon. As it is right now, there’s bombs, a hookshot, a shield, flippers to walk over water, and an item that lets you dodge roll. If more are added, then the possibility for creations skyrockets, so I hope we see some interesting items implemented in the future. I wish there was a larger variety of cosmetic things to place. There’s over a dozen right now, but they almost all take up space in the world. There’s only one basic floor pattern per tileset, I think having different decorative patterns and maybe even stuff like rugs you could walk over would go a long way to giving more options to players.
